One of the users' My Record has been replaced by an existing contact record. When this user logs in, they use their normal username and password, but once logged in, the bottom right of the screen lists the contact's name instead of his. In addition, when the user goes to Lookup --> My Record, it brings up the contact instead of his record. This contact has data in it, including history, attachments, etc., so I don't want to just recreate in a new record and edit the My Record to have the correct information.
How can I fix this so the user's information is correct and the contact information is still in the system?
