Contact A Reports in Act 2010

Hello,

When printing the Contact A Report for a single client I will get two copies or 3 copies depending on how many names are in the secondary contact tab.

I want to be able to print 1 Contact A Report with all the secondary contact people listed on the on report so on the Contact A Report I inserted the fields

sc:Contact

sc:EmergencyRef

sc:2nd last reach

sc:3rd contact

sc:3rd phone

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Are you referring to a standard report or a custom report that you made?

Hello,

It is a standard contact report A that has been modified.  Included are the fields if this helps.  Ignore the blank text box.  Thanks,

Re: Contact A Reports in Act 2010

Hello Roy,

One other note to you and anyone else out there.  In the secondary contact tab. The fields that are available are Contact, Title, Phone etc... Under Contacts I have multiple people listed and when I generate a report, one is generated for each secondary contact and what I want to be able to do is take the secondary contacts whether it be one or 7 and have them listed on the first part of the report under Alternate Contacts 1,2, 3 etc.

Any way to do that?

Best regards,

CMulhern

Re: Contact A Reports in Act 2010

Actually, from your expanded description what you are getting is what I would expect. Ideally you would use a subreport for the secondary contacts which would give you a one-to-many display. However you can't have a contact subreport in a contact report, it will run the main body of the report for each secondary contact.

Re: Contact A Reports in Act 2010

Hello Roy,

Thank you for the follow up.  So now that subreports don't work in the contact report is there another report that will basically give me the same output plus give me the ability to create a subreport or is that just a limitation I am going to have to deal with.

Thanks again

Depending on just what you want, a contact subreport added to a group report might give you what you want.
