I am a private equity professional and am considering several CRM alternatives. My needs are to track deal opportunities, investment interests of other fund groups and my LP's, email campaigns, etc. Is ACT Premium or the ACT version for finance professionals the better choice?
The financial professionals version would likely meet many of your needs. The problem would be that it would be easy to modify because of all that is built into that version. The ACT! 11 version has to capability of having additional custom one-to-many tables (at present that requires an addon to define the tables) so there is greater flexibility of configuration. The down side is that at the present, for reporting purposes, the custom tables would require the use of Crystal Reports. In either case I would suggest that you contact an ACT! Certified Consultant to advise an help you with your needs.
