Connecting to Act! 9.0 through 2nd computer error

Both PC's have Act! on same LAN, firewalls are disabled.  Main computer has the database shared and the Act folder is shared with full permissions for Everyone.  When connecting from the 2nd computer, all files are visible.  When I click on the PAD file or open the database from within Act I get this error:

"The database xxx could not be accessed.  In order to access this database, check your network connection and verify that your database server..."

I looked this error up and found some threads about people moving their database and getting this error.  In this case there has been only one computer using it for a year, we now finally want someone else to access the database so there shouldnt be anything unusual going on.

If I try to open the act demo database I also get this error:

"Could not find a database called ACT9Demo on host xxx"

Any ideas?
