Company Contacts

How do I enter a new contact for a company without having to re enter company info on contact.  Will that info not automatically transfer?

Hello jbrown4778,

Welcoe to the ACT! Online Community. There are two ways you can do this:


* Pull up an existing contact for that company, right-click on the record and select Duplicate Contact. This will only duplicate the contact info, not the notes, history, etc.


* If you have a created Company record for the company, then go to that record in the Company Detail View, highlight it, and go up to Companies/Create Contact from Company. This will create a new contact with the company record's address, phone, etc.
