Cisco Telephone Interface

Can ACT 2011 be set up for outgoing dialing on a Cisco phone system?

Re: Cisco Telephone Interface

Just sent this to another user just last night:

Generally, I've worked with the phone vendor (or support person), as you would need to configure a "soft-modem" to access the phone, which often requires "logging in" to the phone.  Often, the person who supports the phones will know of a SIP TAPI driver/client.

Two that I have experience with are:

http://www.ipcom.at/en/telephony/siptapi/

Please feel free to contact me with more questions - I'd love to help you get setup. If you want to pass along the exact phone model, that would help...

In short - yes, it can be done, but we need some more information.

Re: Cisco Telephone Interface

When you install itDial - does it also tie into Outlook?  I don't have many people who ask for this, but the HUDLite that I setup also "activated" Outlook, which was king of nice...

Re: Cisco Telephone Interface

Hopefully you don't mind if I expand on this thread.

We are looking at a Cisco UC560 and ACT! 2012 Premium. The vendor used ITDial to tie in with ACT, but says that because it's a TAPI interface that then we lose the SmartCall Connector (this allows you to use your computer to transfer calls, see who's available, etc.).

Is it possible to have ACT provide popup windows upon receiving a call and still run the SmartCall Connector?

Re: Cisco Telephone Interface

Have you had success with the deployment of the UC560 and the Tapi driver?  What integrator did you use?

Re: Cisco Telephone Interface

Good morning Richard. I have had IT install the TAPI driver (CiscoTSPNotifier Version 1.0) - is this what is needed to drive the calls through the Cisco phone? I didn't see anything like that to choose from preferences. Many thanks,
