After a few contacts disappeared from a user's database (we suspect some bad ACT behaviour), we tried to restore a previous backup.
Not so surprisingly, ACT will throw an error
We have a weekly backup and not one has worked so far.
And yes, we have enough disk space to unpack the .zip.

Additional information: performing a 'restore' instead of 'restore as' works.
