Check Boxes not appearing

I am new to ACT and am creating a new database.  I have added a new tab in the Company view and created a list of items that each need Yes/No check boxes to go with them.  In the Company Layout view the boxes are shown next to the text, but when I go to the Company View in the database they are not there.  I checked the Define Field for several of them, but that didn't work either.  Any suggestions?

Hello vcTHA,

 

I've been working with Y/N fields recently and with fields in the company view as well as the contact view.

 

One mistake I made was not to select "companies" when I went to create the new fields.  They went into the contact list of fields.

 

This may not solve the problem, but it sure was frustrating to me when I had to re-create all those Y/N fields a 2nd time.  Ugh!

 

Good luck with ACT.  It is a great program.
