I've been working with Y/N fields recently and with fields in the company view as well as the contact view.
One mistake I made was not to select "companies" when I went to create the new fields. They went into the contact list of fields.
This may not solve the problem, but it sure was frustrating to me when I had to re-create all those Y/N fields a 2nd time. Ugh!
Good luck with ACT. It is a great program.
