Changing fields in Quote

HI-

I am trying to add columns to the Quote reprt. I want to be able to add a Cost field and also a Profit and total profit field, Is this possible? Any help would be great, Thanks!

While it's not supported, you need to modify the xlt file as per this ACT! Knowledge Base article - http://tinyurl.com/3vsz2e

Re: Changing fields in Quote

I am running ACT premium 2008. (The knowledage base you reference does not actually teach how to link the data from ACt to the columns added)

I am trying to modify the XLT part of the quote template. I want to change the PRICE column to actually capture the COST from the opportunity product list data.

I can change the text on the XLT but how do I actually associate it with a particular data field?

Without having to buy expensive software. I tried SELECTa QUOTE but it was no help in modifying the XLT - just doesnt work.

Thank you

Re: Changing fields in Quote

To be honest, I haven't tried much with modifying the xlt... haven't had a client who needed it and paid me to do the research.

You might try an ACT! Consultant from www.act.com/acc to see if they know a way or you might post a request for this feature to be considered for a future version here - http://www.act.com/community/feature
