Changing a field from Contact type to Company type

Hi, 

I've just created a few new fields (ok 42 new fields), but accidentally created them as Contact fields, when they should be Company fields. I have not attributed any data to them yet. I'm hoping there's a way to edit the "Record type". Instead of me deleting all of them, and creating them all again as Company fields.

No, you'll need to delete and re-create them ... The Companies and Contacts are different tables in the database.

No, you'll need to delete and re-create them ... The Companies and Contacts are different tables in the database.

If it's a help, ACTDIAG has a Database Report function that can list the fields for you to make it easier

Thanks Mike, have done so now. There's 45 minutes I'll never get back! But I've certainly learned to pay more attention next time.
