Change Where Attachments Are Saved

I have ACT! 2011, and I was wondering if I could change the location where file attachments are automatically saved. I would appreciate any help or reply.

There is a reason why they are where they are and that is for synchronising databases or for shared on a network where they are in a consistent location with permissions flowing down from the database files. Why don't you use file shortcuts then instead of attaching into the database then you can leave your files where they are.

Thanks for the quick replies. I have added a shortcut, but I was just wondering if I could add the files to a local computer. That explanation makes a lot of sense though.
