Change Contact Name

Change Contact Name

I logged into Act Pro V2012 to create a new company and contact. I can see that these are on the contacts and company list ok.

 

But, my Contact Name seems to have changed from its old value to the name of the contact that I have just created.

 

When I go to LookUp / My Record it shows the record of the contact that I have just created and not mine.

 

I cannot work-out what has happened - please help.

Chris,
At this point, if you don't have a contact record for the contact - other than your 'My Record' - you will need to create a new contact record for the contact and update your 'My Record' with your information. If the contact's information was populated in the My Record fields, you can use the 'Duplicate Contact' option to create the new record.
