I imported a number of contact records from an Excel format. The names and addresses are all caps and does not look as I would like in my mail merges. Is there a quick way to change this or do I have to go in and re-type each record?

There are ACT add ons available that may help you convert these (here). Otherwise, before you do you import, in Excel, you can change the case to Proper Case (=PROPER(A1))
. There is nothing built into the program to accomplish this.

hATE TO HAVE TO CORRECT YOU - OR AT LEAST ADD TO YOUR STATEMENT - BUT
wHILE WHAT YOU SUGGEST FOR FUTURE IMPORTS IS A GOOD SUGGESTION,
FOR THE DATA THAT IS ALREADY IMPORTED, THE FIELD TYPE COULD BE CHANGE TO "Initial-Caps".
This would at least make the data in ACT! look "normal".
PS - Keep in mind, as I recall, if you use this field in reports, it will still be ALL CAPS.
