I get this message when I open the program
"The database <Database name> could not be accessed. In order to access this database, check your network connection and verify that your database server is available. It may be necessary to disable any firewall software..."
I have tried all the fixes but none of them seem to work. I was wondering If i uninstall and reinstall Act will it fix this problem? And also I dont have a back up of a database. But I do have back up files from system restore. I was just wondering if it is possible to import this if i reinstall the program?

Some questions that will help us with your problem -
What version of ACT do you have.
Is the database installed on your PC or on a server which you access from your PC.
Did it work and has stopped working or never worked.
Have you made sure that the SQL ACT7 service is running.
Have any changes been made to the hosting database machine like change of name or network.
NB System backups often do not backup active SQL services so it may not have backed up your database.
Sorry its a long list but it will help us narrow down your problem.
