Cannot access database via LAN

I am running ACT! 2010, and have it installed on both my desktop PC and my laptop.  The PC is running Windows XP and the laptop is running Windows 7.  If I create a database on the PC, I cannot access it on the laptop via my network.  I can, however, access other shared files that reside on the PC, and I can access the ACT! Demo database that is on the PC.  Any help would be appreciated.

What is the error message you get when trying to open your database over the network?

You want to make sure that "Share" database is turned on on the machine that is the "server".  Do this from the Tool menu in ACT!, Database Maintenance sub menu.
