Old system died and I'm installing Act 2006 on a new computer. I have XP professional and all SP's installed. When I install I get an error message " an ACT 7 instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 has occurred, uninstall instance and reinstall program". I've looked at a lot of the SQL questions but they seem to hit around my problem but don't address directly. How can I install and begin using my ACT 2006?
Thanks in advance,

Take a look at the following kb article.
Running the ACT! uninstaller should remove the remaining traces of the ACT7 SQL instance.
