I found this document but I'm not sure if it will work for my situation.
I think that I had tried to install my older version of ACT 7 because it does show up in the registery keys.
It didn't work at the time so I had uninstalled it and used it on an older laptop.
However, the part where it shows the "instance names" folder does not exist on my system.
I am using Windows 7 Professional and I got the "Can't update SQL 2005 for ACT" error.
I'm trying to install ACT 2011 Professional, brand new unlicensed, unopened package.
