Upon opening my ACT database (I call it Restoration) I received an error box which said that "The database Restoration could not be accessed. In order to access this database check my network connectionand verify the network is available, it may be necessary to disable any firewall software on your computer or server.".
Outside of the error box there is a message giving me 2 options ... 1. To create a new database or 2. To open an exisitng database. I click on the button to open existing database and inside the box I don't seem to have the ability to access my database ... there are 2 files inside the box, 1. Restoration - database files and 2. Restoration.pad ... I've clicked on both and neither helped.
I seriously need the help of someone out there that has a idea of what I should do. Thanks in advance!

This is most likely caused by the SQL Server (Act7) service not running. Here is an article with instructions for starting the service: KB Article 28216
