Yesterday I was working on a database with no problems. Closed it out and later rebooted the computer. This morning I tried to open the database and received the message: "The database could not be accessed. In order to access this database check the network connection and verify your database server is available. It may be necessary to disable any firewall software on your computer or the server."
The ACT software is on this computer and not accessed by a server. The firewall shows that the ACT software is allowed and I have also turned off the firewall. Still can't access any databases.

Any suggestions?
Thank you,

Please make sure the SQL server service is running.
click start-> run and type services.msc locate the SQL Server (ACT7) and make sure it has started.
