Can't Add a Contact

I am using ACT 2010 and simply trying to create a contact (without first creating a Company record).  I click on Contact, New Contact, enter a contact name & address, then press Save but get the error message

 

"One or more errors have been detected.  Place your mouse on the red error indicator(s) to display the error message(s)."

 

But:

 

a. There are no red error indicators

b. I have run "Check & Repair" - no luck

 

Thoughts?

I have run into this error message before. The likeliest cause is that is one of your tabs below the main interface that has a red check mark next to it that you cannot see.

I have run into this error message before. The likeliest cause is that is one of your tabs below the main interface that has a red check mark next to it that you cannot see.
