Can not backup ACT......Need Help

I get the following message when trying to backup ACT:

 

Database 'msdb' cannot be opened.  It has been marked SUSPECT by recovery.  See the SQL Server errorlog for more information.

Here is an article with instructions for replacing the file referenced in the error message: KB Article 24695

 

Before replacing the file, see if the existing files are Blue. If they are, that is an indication they are compressed.  To un-compress: right click on file > select Properties > select Advanced > uncheck 'Compress contents to save disk space' > click OK.  If the files are blue, but the 'compress' option is not checked, place a check in it > click OK.  Then perform steps to un-check it, to un-compress the files.

Thanks but I do not have a Microsoft Certfication degree to figure out how to do this.  This is way to complicated for me to try and fix the problem I am experiencing in ACT.
