Can i customize Act for an insurance agency?

Can i customize Act for an insurance agency?

I see where i can put customer's name and address, i also need somewhere to put policy effective date, policy number etc.

How can i add this information? And can i do a custom search to see what policies are about to expire etc?

You can add this information by creating custom fields.

You may want to consult with an ACT! Certified Consultant, as they will be able to help ensure you collect the right information in the best way so that it is usable in the ACT! Templates, Dynamic Groups etc.

Gavros, we run an insurance brokers in the UK and we have heavily customised our database ourselves. It took about 2 years for us to work out all the stuff we needed and how to get the right fields to export/merge into the documents we need to use but it is something which just evolves over time. We found that it was a bit "chicken and egg" we could'nt tell a Consultant what we needed and where because we really didnt know ourselves. The thing has just grown into something which works for us.
