Birthday's on Calendar

Is there any way of having the birthday field appear on the calendar without making a separate reoccurring appointment?

About annual events

You can track annual events for contacts. Annual events are dates such as birthdays, anniversaries, or even policy renewals. You can enter an annual event date on the Contact Detail view for a contact.

Annual events do not display on calendars, but you can set a recurring To-do activity and an alarm to notify you of them. You can also perform a lookup of annual events to set a recurring To-do activity or a custom activity for the event.
Creating annual event fields

You can create annual event fields. Annual event fields are set up like other date fields, and like other fields, can have specific options selected for them, such as whether the annual event is a required field or generates a history.
Copying data from custom fields to annual event fields

If you currently use a custom field to track annual dates, such as a policy or a service contract renewal, you can copy the data from the custom field to an annual event field.

pormelanie,

Your links aren't working.  Were you trying to link to another website or are the links by mistake?

I just copied the message from the help file, I didn't realize the links copied over that way. Sorry.

Re: Birthday's on Calendar

You should check out our add-on called Calendar View Plus for ACT!.  CVP has the ability to display ANY date field from the contact table on the calendar including annual events such as Birthdays.  Just select the field from the 'events' panel at the bottom of the calendar.  BTW- This feature is also available in our Task List Plus for ACT! add-on.
