We are running Act2008 Ver 10.0, currently we are operating with 1 main company database (head office) & 1 stand alone database (regional Showroom). Historically head office have purged contacts with post codes within the regional showrooms catchment area & sent these of as an .CSV export, which the showroom then exclusively manages.
We now need to merge the showroom (stand alone database) with head office (main company database) to create 1 complete database (on the head office server). However we need any of the notes & calls scheduled within contacts on the standalone database transferred over to the main database with the contacts, on previous exports/imports we have lost notes/calls/ID status fields etc.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated,

Something that may have been missing in the original imports could have been a matching Record Manager (ACT! username) in the receiving database. The showroom database may have a username that doesn't exist in the company database.

Also, a way to test the import before updating main database is to create a copy of the main database and import into the copy first. You can create a copy by using the File > Save Copy As option.
