Basics of Syncronization Process

Hi All,

 

I am looking to Sync up 2 ACT databases so that contact info and notes are consistent between the two. What I don't want is to sinc alarms. Is there a way to sync the 2 databases without having my alarms appear on my coworker's computer and visa-versa?

No, there is not a way to do that, but then, it doesn't matter.

 

When activities are scheduled, they are only set to alarm the person for who (whom -?) they were scheduled.

 

So unless you are creating activities for both of you, they will never alarm the other person.

 

Further, you can set the filters on calendars so that you only see the activities of yourself, if so desired.

Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. Alarms will sync along with the associated activity - there is not a way to exclude them. However, they are specific to the user they are scheduled for, so if he is logging in with his own user name and password, he will not see alarms for activities that are on your calendar.
