Backup sage act 2012 to network drive

Hi,

I would like to make a daily backup to a network drive. I have entered a path to a network drive in the scheduler but the backup is NOT made to this network drive but to the default local backup location.

I find this a serious problem as I was not aware of this at first and I thought the backup would be stored on a tape backup that is made daily of our company network drives.

Only being able to make backups to a local pc is no my idea of a safe backup since this is the same pc where act is running. If the hard disk of this pc crashes I lose all data

There is an intermediate step you need to follow.  Backup to the local drives using hte ACT scheduler, then set your tape backup to back up the folder you have backed up the databases to.  You get an extra level of redunancy, and it is much more fool proof.
