Backup error

Out of the blue, I am receiving an error near the end of a Backup.  "The following error occurred during backup. The backup was cancelled. The parameter is incorrect."

My backups are made on external hard drives. I tried two different external hard drives and receive the same error message.. This seems to have started after I deleted a backup task that was set in the ACT Scheduler. (I decided to go back to making manual backups because I prefer to make more than one per week.

Re: Backup error

What happens if you save the backup location to the local drive?

How much free space do you have on your C:\ drive and on the externals?

Can you successfully create a backup in the demo database?

Re: Backup error

I can save a backup to the local drive. I also now can save a backup to one of the twon external HD's connected to the PC. So apparantly one of the external HD's is bad. Issue resovled.

Re: Backup error

I am getting the same error - I have a brand new USB drive.  It started the last couple of times I tried to backup so purchased a new USB - it is completely empty.  I can save to my desktop but would prefer to save externally
