Backup error message

Backup error message

ACT automatically saves 5 instances of the database to an external drive and when trying to change the location of this backup the following error message appears . Appreciate any help to change the backup location . I am on ACT!2010 and windows 7 professional edition.


MSG 

 

Error occurred while saving server config file. Access to the path ‘C:\ProgramData\ACT\ACT For Windows12/SCHEDULER_FILE.xml’ is denied

You need to run the Scheduler utility as an administrator in order to have proper rights to that folder.  Assuming it's the same as in Vista, right-click the icon to start it and choose "Run as Administrator" or if it's already running in the task bar, close it, and then start it from the Start Menu.

Just did that. Now a new error message appears as flwg

Act! Scheduler error. Error occurred while loading serverconfig file. Root element missing. Contract Administrator for assistance

IF the security error doesnt go away, delete or rename the file its talking about and the problem will go away.
