Unfortunately this is not an option, although there are add-ons that will do it like itImport
You might post a request for this feature to be considered for a future version here - http://community.act.com/t5/SHARE-YOUR-IDEAS/idb-p/ideas
Input from this web page goes directly into a database that management has direct access to read, and which they also track and gather statistics on. It also allows other users to vote on these so Sage can get an idea of the demand

Ha! You write this like there a chance that Act cares about even the most basic functions. Nobaody waste your time with submitting feature requests to act. They don't care and they don't update their products other than bug fixes and updates to the latest version of windows so they can keep selling their lousy product to those of us who are trapped because it's too much of an effort & time to move to a product that has basic functions.

I certainly hope it makes a difference. A complete rewrite of the platform needs to be done so that upgrades & maintenance become more regular & consistent. Act can't even import or export a vcard unless you use some convoluted emailprocess and then only if you are forced to use 32-bit Outlook. In so many ways there are 1990's features that we're still waiting for. I guess I'm the fool for thinking htat each new release will have some basic features.

he is right in act we do not have option to do but there is work around that you can try, if you are importing contact from excel or CSV's file
if you are importing contacts
in excel along with contact information add company column
after import completed or before
go to company add a criteria if company name are same it will automatically add
or you can do lookup using company name and manually add so you do not want to do separately

For the record:
64bit Outlook is a problem with many systems also...
