Auto Refresh on OLE DB causes Excel to crash

I have ACT! 11.0 and trying to get OLE to work with Excel.

The "test connection" says everything is alright.

BUT when it refreshes every so often, an error pops up, causing me to shut it down and it recovers the file.

IS this a known issue?  Anyone know the solution?

Thanks!

patgenn123,

It would help to know what the error message is when it crashes.  Also, what version of Office and Windows are you using?

Re: Auto Refresh on OLE DB causes Excel to crash

I'm having the same problem. I'm using ACT 10 with Excel 2003 SP3. There's no specific error message written to the screen. It just says excel encountered an error and had to close.

When I creat a data connection on a sheet I can refresh it all I want until I close the workbook. When I reopen the book and try to refresh the data (automatically or manually) it causes excel to crash.

It also happens if I try to edit the query itself.
