Attaching ACT! E-mail to History Automatically

Is it possible for when I send an e-mail out on ACT! that the e-mail is automatically saved under that contact's history?

Yes, it's a standard function ... how to do it depends on which version of ACT! and what email system you're using.

I am using ACT 9.0 and Outlook 2003.  It comes up under the history, but the e-mail is not attached to it.

That KB article appplies if you are using ACT E-Mail as the default e-mail client.  If you are using Outlook as the default e-mail client, then you will need to change your ACT! history recording options in Outlook:

- In Outlook, go to Tools/Options and click the ACT! tab

- Click the History Options button

- Choose the option to save entire e-mail as attachment

- Click OK twice to save

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
