'Attach Email to ACT! Contact' button has stopped working.

When I click the button the window opens and I go through the motions of attaching an email to a contact but it doesn't turn up in the history. When I check the Running Processes Act.Outlook.Service.exe is not starting on Start up. I go  to C:\Program Files\ACT\ACT for Windows and start it manually and then the history arrives. This has happened before which is why I know what to do but this time it is not staying fixed and I am now having to start Act.Outlook.Service.exe manually each time I start ACT! now. Any ideas why?  ACT! 9 (2007) Office XP (Outlook 2002)

Just spotted the solution here: http://community.act.com/sage/board/message?board.id=ACT&message.id=29706. For some obscure reasons the ACT processes had become unchecked in the Start Up tab. It's still a mystery to me how these apparently random set up changes occur.
