I recently upgraded from v8 thinking that the feature enhancements would outweigh the lack of a Palm sidekick. I tried the Link and do not like its limitations.
It turns out that I like the enhancements in v11 but the performance degradation (who has a notebook PC with a 7200+ RPM HDD?) and lack of Palm software are making me consider reverting back to v8.
I will appreciate any information regarding the release of a new ACT! for Palm that is compatible with v11 to help me with my decision.
Thanks in advance,

Unfortunately, Palm OS has fallen so much in terms of sales, there isn't enough market for it.
I posted some details about this on my blog:

Palm have actually just released their new device (Palm Pre)...
In a similar type to Blackberry Storm and Apple iPhone - http://www.infosyncworld.com/news/n/10021.html
I think it shows the status of Palm OS as they have created a new OS called Web OS
Maybe it's time to look at updating your PDA?

Thanks for the reply.
This is unfortunate since Palm is currently resurrecting themselves after some short sighted marketing decisions (to be charitable), however it remains to be a very stable and flexible platform for a wide variety of other programs. Perhaps I should see about exchanging v11 to v10 or even going back to v8.

Yes, Palm is resurrecting themselves... but, as I posted, with a different OS (WebOS)
I definately would go back to ACT! 2006 (8.) ... there is an ACT! for Palm 3.0 for ACT! 2008 (10.0):
It might be time to update to a device with a current OS.... I used to be a real PalmOS fan - from when it was the Pilot (till Pilot Pens sued them) till I switched to Blackberry. Unlike Pocket PC, the Blackberry is as stable and as functional as I used to find the Palm
