After computer crash, unable to open databases after reloading the Act 11

I recently had a major crash, upgraded to Windows 7 operating system (been planning on if for sometime) and programs.

I was able to save all my data files, but with the OS reload, had to re-install all the programs.

Reloaded Act 11 from the original disk, but I am not able to open the data bases.

Alot of important customer data is contained in these Databases, there has to be a way to open them?

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Was able to solve the problem posted here:

http://kb.sagesoftwareonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/28952

Versions prior to Sage ACT! 2012:

  1. Click the File menu.
  2. Select Open Database.
  3. Change Files of type option to ACT! Database (*.ADF).
  4. Browse to the database location and select the database *.ADF file.
  5. Click OK to open the database.

Worked great, takes a little time, grab a cup of coffee and sit back. Brings a smile to your face when things work.
