Adding contacts to groups

When I add a contact to a group it doesn't come up in a list for the group. What am I doing wrong?  I assign the contact to the group within the history record.

Assigning an individual history item to a group does NOT make that person a member of the group. You need to go to the individual's Groups/Companies tab and click "Add Contact to Group" to assign group membership.

It sounds like you're assigning an individual History item to the Group, not the Contact
