Yes the address book has to be done in ACT!, but if it doesn't appear inside Outlook KB 13826 suggest to add it manually, but inside the list it isn't present.

 

KB23022 already done july 28th and KB 13826 done.

 

One question, sorry, ACT!2011 + HF4 + Outlook 2007 (32 bits) + Windows7 (64 bits) with a user as local administrator on a new PC, normally works ?

list is the list of the address books, KB say:

Tools menu, then click Account Settings. The Account Setting - E-mail Account

Click the Address Books tab. The Account Settings - Directories and Address Books

In the Directories and Address Books window, click New.

 

Now a window give you the choice from ACT! address book, Mobile address book and outlook address book, my list has only Mobile ... and Outlook ... without ACT ...

 

Following the KBs I had all good except the ACT! address list not present inside Outlook.

 

I try to delete address book, reregister components and so on ...

 

I ask if works with this environment 'cause I have the other licence of Sage ACT! 2011 on windows7 32 bits that works very well.

you might look in the registry hkey_current_user/software/act/outlookaddressbooks and remove these entries. Restart Outlook and it may say the address book is not configured properly. If ACT is open it should put in the current database details may work

Paul, key deleted (as done the 28th), outlook restarted, no message from it.

Configuration reinserted inside ACT! with outlook closed, outlook opened still without address book and without buttons for attach, create contacts, create activity and quick attach. Only the two sync buttons are present.

Can you describe each screen in the Edit Preferences when you add the address book there?

Hi,

I didn't solve the problem, but:

 

installing on Windows 7 32 bits + Office 2007 a licence of Sage ACT! 2011 it works and show the add-in inside Outlook.

 

I can see the ACT! address book, Quick attach and Attach to ACT! Contacts under tools Menu.

 

All the add ins inside the tool bar and doing new (for a new mail) I have after "Format text" the voice Add-Ins with all the ACT! add-ins.

 

Seams that Microsoft OS 64 Bits is related to the problem.

Hello Simone,
The 64-bit O/S would not be an issue, but trying to use the 64-bit version of Office 2010 would. ACT! only supports the 32-bit version of Office 2010, which you can install fine on a 64-bit O/S. You probably won't even notice the difference.
