Add/Delete Product Greyed out in Opportunities Tab

When I try to add products to an Opportunity in my database OR the demo database, the Add and Delete options are both greyed out. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Hello HMLD,
Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. What version of ACT! are you using (from Help > About ACT!)? There were some reported issues in ACT! 2010 and 2011 where products could not be added if the Cost, Price, and Subtotal fields were removed from the Add/Remove Product display screen. In addition, you can only add products to an Opportunity if the Status is "Open".

These are just some ideas.

First though; What version of ACT! are you using?

Is it up to date? Have all required fixes been appplied?

What operating system?

 

I would first

Backup your ACT! db using ACT! file / Backup database.

Close all apps including ACT!????

try running ACTDIAG.

Start

Run

ACTDIAG

databases

list

in left button of list, rite click on desired database

select and run the 4 or 5 database Rebuild options that read Rebuild(not remove).

If that fails, I would run ACTDIAG and Detach the desired database

Close ACTDIAG

Start ACT! so the db will be verified .etc..
