The color you select is not actually assigned to the activity type, but to the Priority. So if you have a Low priority meeting and assign it as "green", then green becomes the color for Low priority activities. So the next Low priority activity you schedule will be green. The only workaround is to create additional Priorities so you can use additional colors. To create additional priorties, go to Schedule/Manage/Priorities.

Like you, we find that people who raise this issue would like to see the colour assigned to the Activity and User not to the Priority. It is not particularlu useful to have the Activity flagged twice, once by color and by priority field choice. Please can we see some more flexibility in user definable options in the Activities area?
