Activity Button or a way of always generating one type of activity

Hi

I'd like a quick and simple way of triggering the 'same' activity (ie opening the activity window, pre populated with the specific activity type)

Possibly with a button on the activity tab or possibly with a Function Button Keyboard stroke

Would anyone know how?

Thank you

Hi Cjayd,

I hope I have understood what you are asking correctly. I have provided articles below that believe would be relevant.

Hi

Thanks for the reply:

We have about 20 Activity types; so would like to keep the 'SCHEDULE ACTIVITY' in its general form.

eg we have Activity types such as

Call

Meeting

Appointment

But also custom activity types of

Send Brochure

Register New Address

I was hoping we could also have another (separate)

* Quick Button

* or Function Key

*that would allow me to trigger one specific Activity (say)  'Register New Address'

That is

COULD we use SCHEDULE Activity for accessing all our Activities

BUT

Is there also a way to have a 'quick button or function key' to trigger one specific type of activity

Re: Activity Button or a way of always generating one type of activity

Thank you for providing further information. I believe the option you would want is to customise the menus and toolbars.

These steps would be PC specific so would need to be replicated on those who would want it.

You can go to 'Tools - Customise - Menus and toolbars' select the Commands tab then under Categories on the left you can find the Schedule option, there will be an option of 'Other ►' you can drag this option onto your toolbar. If you would like each Activity separately you can drag and drop them out of the Other menu.

I have provided the article below which goes into more detail about this feature.
