[ Edited ]

Is ActReader compatible with ACT! Pro V17? If not, is there another program i can use to set up an ODBC connection to a Microsoft Access Database?

The ActReader utility has not been tested with Act v17. We do not offer any direct support for this utility.

However, please do try it out and let us know your findings.

Are there any other options for accessing the ACT database?

Re: ActReader Utility

Originally you couldn't use ACTREADER to access the Pro version of Act!.  I don't know if that restriction has been lifted or not.  If you have the ACTREADER.EXE app in your Act! for Windows folder then it will probably work.  Basically what it does is give you the ability to access the Act! database with the SQL login "ACTREADER".  You may also be able to access the Act! database using Windows Authentication.  I don't do a lot of work with the Pro version of Act! so I haven't tested those features on it recently.
