Act2005 Shared Database with New Vista Laptop running ACT2008...What to do

Can they share the same 2005 database?  Do I need to upgrade all the 2005 users to 2008?

Any help would be appreciated.

The database structure is different in 2008... all users sharing data must be on the same version.

This is a good thing for your 2005 users as 2008 is better, faster and more stable

You may be able to contact the laptop vendor and get them to down-grade to XP

Many older apps (even some Microsoft products) can't run on Vista without purchasing an upgrade

But the users will fine ACT! 200 better and faster... so it will not be a complete loss for you

BTW: If you still have Office 2000, ACT! 2008 doesn't work with that any more.
