Two weeks ago I created two new databases using my ACT v10, both with the same user name and password. Both databases were working OK fine and I started adding data into them. Problem is that I just went in to add more data in one, then tried to change from one database to the other to work with the second database, but now ACT says the user and password for the second one could not be authenticated.
How do I get into the database?

If you're absolutely sure about the username and password, you can try to detach and reattach the database from Act! Diagnostics. For instructions on detaching the database, see the knowledgebase article:
After you detach it, you should be able to reattach it using the steps in the following article:
(Note: For your version of Act!, step 2 in this article should be "Click Actions" instead of "Click Tools")

I wish I could be absolutely sure about the password. What I think happened is that I typo'd the password and now cant re-log in. Ive tried several different options but so far no good.
The second knoledge base article tells me to contact ACT, that means pay them to recover. There has to be a work around. no?
