Just installed Act 2010. Was working fine for a week. When clicking on Calendar get this message:
"Act has encountered an Error, Please Shut Down Applications. Then Loading.....comes up and nothing happens.
Sometimes it works; but usually not. Ocassionally calender will come up but funky display filling up part of the screen.
Running on Windows XP 2003 Home with all updates.
PS: Will Act 2003 work with Windows 7. So far not happy camper.

Hello DMozes,
If the calendar display is not correct, this could be caused by a damaged preferences file or a conflict with your video settings, or a combination of both. Please see KB Article 21042 for suggested solutions. If the solutions offered in KB 21042 do not resolve the issue, then you may need to delete your entire preferences folder using the following steps:
- Close ACT! and all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Open My Computer/Windows Explorer and browse to one of the following directories, depending on your operating system:
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\(your user name)\Application Data\ACT
Windows Vista: C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\ACT
- Delete any folders named "Act for Windows(version#)"...there may be more than one
- Ensure that you have set your DPI to 96 per the instructions near the bottom of KB article 21042
- Reboot your computer
- Open ACT! and test
Please note that this action will remove all custom preference settings in ACT!. When you open the program, you will be taken through the setup wizard again. In addition, you will need to re-do any custom settings under the Tools/Preferences option.
