I recently changed computers and installed ACT for financial professionals on my new desktop with Windows Vista. (Prior computer was a laptop running Windows 7). Installation was easy, found my files, everything worked great until the program closed. After a Windows update and its subsequent re-start, I have not been able to open ACT without an uninstall reinstall.
When I click on the icon to open, it looks like it is starting to open and then a Windows error pops up that says "ACT has stopped working." I have tried the SQL fix, but that did not work. Any suggestions would be helpful.
