Act database that has an unknown password

I am working on a computer that is running (ACT! by Sage 2009 (11.0) Version 11.0.0.367). The previous user has created a database with a password. That person is no longer with our company, but has placed a password on the database. I have been trying a variety of solutions that I have found on the internet, including trying the actdiag tool. The actdiag tool errors out and does not run.

 

Is there a way to recover the password or get around the user and password log in information?

Hello Steve, if that database has a single user, that user is the administrator, in that case the only alternative to reset the password is through the Swiftpage support team

If you are in North America and you still unable to login to your database, you can purchase a one-time Username and/or Login Disclosure service. In order to purchase a one-time Username and/or Login Disclosure service, it is necessary to first download and complete the Login Disclosure form CLICK HERE   Follow the instructions on the form to complete and submit it.

 

Keep in mind that Swiftpage will apply a fee or charge of $50.00 plus sales tax if applicable for User ID/Password Service.

 

At the time of remote support you should know what the database is and which user is going to reset the password
