Act! by Sage 2010

Does Act by Sage use Client-Server model? Does it use the same architecture as Act by Sage Primium? I have 10 users and I need those 10 users can share their email database. Which version I should purchase?

I am using Goldmine and plan to convert to Act. Is there any utility can help me to convert Goldmine database to Act?

Does Act! come with SQL Express? Do I need purchase SQL Server?  Is there any limitation of database size for SQL express.

Re: Act! by Sage 2010

As Roy said, with 10 users, better to get the Premium version from the start.

MigrateAdmin converts from Goldmine

SQL Express (included with either version of ACT!) is limited to 1 processor, 1GB RAM and 4GB database size as per:

http://www.microsoft.com/Sqlserver/2005/en/us/compare-features.aspx

For 10 users, SQL Express is usually enough. If you think you want more, you can change the SQL engine later. See:

Re: Act! by Sage 2010

If you have 10 users, get the premium version because you are at the wall. If you should need a license for the 11th userthen you would have to purchase 11 premium licenses to ass one user.

SQL Express is supplied.

There is a conversion utility from ASDS Computing and there are ACT! Certified Consultants that will do the conversion.
