This may be outside the scope of this forum but is there a way I can view and update my Act 2010 contacts in Sage 50 Accounts 2010? Also, vice versa?
i.e. in Sage 50 Accounts create a new invoice and instead of copying and pasting the customer info from Act, can I make all customers available in the Sage 50 Customer section?
Sorry for the basic questions, I am just getting into using the software.

The ACT! Link for Sage 50 Accounts (ACT! 2007 and later) should satisfy your requirements.
You can download it free of charge from http://support.sage.co.uk/default.aspx?page=28 (you may need to create a Sage.co.uk login and link it with your Sage account).

I did install this last week but couldnt see the ACT contacts in Sage 50 accounts? I will re-download and install and give it a try again. Do you know how I can view the ACT contacts int he Sage 50 Accounts software once this is installed?

Once installed and configured you should have a Sage Accounting Program menu option at the top of ACT! (you may need to close/reopen the program).
You can use the Create/Edit link option to create records in Accounts from your ACT! contacts.

It seemed to install and configure ok (I can import account details from Sage 50 Accounts to Act contacts) but the Create/Edit link is greyed out? Do you have any suggestions?
I have closed both apps, rebooted windows etc.

Does the Sage 50 Accounts user you specified in the configuration have Full Access? If not, try changing this or as a test use the Manager credentials.
Are you using Vista/Windows 7? Try right clicking ACT! and running as Admin.
Check that the ACT! user has Accounting Link Tasks as an Added Permission in Tools > Manage Users.

I have tried all your suggestions but Create/Edit Contact Link is still greyed out?
In Sage, I created a user (same name as my admin user in Act) with full permissions (as per the Link instructions).
I have ran both Accounts and Act as admin.
I am administrator in Act will all permissions including Accounting Link Tasks.
Do you have anything else I could try?

Do you experience the same behaviour in the ACT2010Demo database, or a completely new ACT! database?
How about if you link the ACT! database to the Sage 50 Demo company?

I got it working now! doh, I'm an idiot? Selecting the contact in List View wouldnt work, but as soon as you view the contact information then the menu item is not greyed out?
Last few questions for this issue:
Do I have to this for each contact one at a time by viewing every one? Or is there a better way?
Can I import ALL contacts from a group into Sage Accounts at the same time?
When doing it manually it asks me to assign a reference? Can this be automated based on surname, firstname (which would allow above to be automated).
Thanks for your help? It has got my pointing in the right direction now...
