Resolved Sync problem, previous thread. Now am getting "cannot configure address book...or db name locked. Do you want to configure now?. Have added/removed about 20 times address book in Outlook. Same error. Have checked and repaired Outlook from Help and Windows. Have created new profile in Outlook and tried to attach. Nothing works. Outlook still points to old deleted db when trying to attach address book. Have had 7 problems with connectivity to Outlook since Nov07. 3/4 uninstall/reinstall..I forget, so many! This is all Act support can suggest. What I want to know is why this keeps happening everytime I unpack a remote db to laptop?
It is Act version 10.02.191 on both desktop and l/top and outlook 2002.
Can anyone make any other suggestions, I'm going made here 2 day so far it's taken to get this far.

You might try removing the Outlook integration as per http://tinyurl.com/4wdwel - then re-setting it up.
Have you tried setting the database in the Outlook address book or in ACT!'s preferences?
Not sure where the PAD details are stored in the Outlook integration, but you might also try deleting the ACT! Preferences as per this ACT! Knowledge Base article - http://tinyurl.com/4aqxwc
