Act Scheduler not starting after server demote

Hi newbie here.

Act 10 on member server. Recently demoted this to a workgoup server.

Now Act Scheduler service will not start as 'netlogon is not started'. Netlogon does not start in a  workgroup server environment so is there a way to stop the Scheduler service being tied to this or another way to start it?

Any advice gratefully received.

Re: Act Scheduler not starting after server demote

By default the ACT! Scheduler service uses the Local System account to logon and startup. You can instead use a local Admin account for the server as the login for this service to see if that resolves. Make this change by right-clicking on the ACT! Scheduler service from the services list, choose Properties and go to the Log On tab. Restart the service to have the change take effect. Also make sure the Startup type for the service is Automatic.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
