Troubleshooting Google Intregration - Best Method?

 

Google integration is setup, and it passes the setup, but it is not succesful in synchronizing, and there is

a general type of error, nothing specific.

 

What is the best approach to troubleshoot?

If you go to the bottom right hand corner of the screen and look for the Act! Integration Service icon, right click on it, go to Integrate with Google, then View History, you can possibly get a more detailed error message as to why it failed.

Also, you can create a new database and connect the Google account to that database and see if it fails with a new database, or create a new Google account and see if it works with your existing database.

Additionally you could try to synchronize the contacts by themselves, then the calendar by itself to determine at which one is causing it to fail. Usually it's the calendar. It could be a damaged activity either in your Google calendar or in your Act! database
